Perform well. All terrain a little noisier than normal road tyres but not a great deal more and was expected

Top tyre, went for these as a mid-price range option with decent reviews. No disappointment at all, handle really well in all weather, was told they wouldn't be as good as my previous road tyres but I can't tell the difference in holding or noise. Good grip and traction on any off road surface, wet and dry. Won't be looking at any alternatives when it's time to replace the current set

These tyres have so far exceeded my expectations, after driving for 12 hours in arid environment on bitchuman and dirt/slight mid. They make for a comfortable ride and gives the driver good confidence on wet sealed and dry sealed surfaces. Definitely great value for money for a reputable brand of tyres

Mercedes ML250 SUV. Previously had Pirelli road tyres. They were good on road but really not suited to some gravel roads when visiting National Parks. We didnt need a 'full-on' 4WD tyre when most driving is on road. These are great. No difference in road noise or behaviour in the city. Slightly noisier on the Hwy. Deeper tread so will last longer. Perfectly fine on gravel, shallow sand and a bit og mud. Really suits those with SUVs who do a little off-road driving but want an intermediate tyre. Highly recommended alternative.

A Versatile All-Around Tyre
Perfect for on and off-road driving

Experience seamless switching from on-road driving to all-terrain tyre capabilities.

  • The ATR's symmetrical all-terrain tread pattern ensures improved traction and braking efficiency.
  • A continuous centre rib and large, stable shoulder tread blocks provide directional stability and superior steering response.
  • Independent tread blocks in the centre tread promote acoustic comfort, on-road wear and off-road traction.
  • Sipes provide extra biting edges on the tread for enhanced off-road grip and traction on rough terrain and in snow.
  • Its twin steel belts are reinforced with a spiral-wrapped nylon cord for predictable handling and high-speed control.

Why This Tyre?

What's the Pros And Cons?

Pirelli Scorpion ATR UTQG 520 A B

Compare and Rate Your Tyre on its Treadwear, Traction, and Temperature

tyre-size

520 A B

•  520 Treadwear:
This grade represents the tyre's expected life/duration, ranging between 100 to 1000. Usually, the higher the treadwear rating, the longer the tyre life.

•  A Traction:
This grade represents the tyre's capability to stop on wet asphalt and pavement. Ratings are expressed in letter form, with AA being the highest and C as the lowest.

•  B Temperature:
This grade represents the tyre's heat resistance ability, with A as the highest and C as the lowest. Heat build-up causes the rubber to break down faster, which can cause blowouts. The higher the temperature rating, the longer the tyre life and the higher the speed rating.

The Pirelli Scorpion ATR is an Asymmetrical Tyre

tyre-size

Asymmetrical tread patterns combine different tread types to deliver maximum wet and dry road grip via its inner and middle tread, while outside, larger and rigid tread blocks dominate the design to improve cornering.

To avoid fitting mistakes, asymmetrical tyres are labelled "outside" and "inside only" so you know if they will face your vehicle or out.

Pirelli OEM Tyres

Pirelli's Scorpion ATR is the Original Equipment tyres for a handful of Mercedes Benz models.

OEM or "original equipment manufacturer", means that the Pirelli worked with these companies to design a tyre model specifically for a brand new vehicle model.

Each OEM tyre is designed and repeatedly tested by car manufacturer engineers to ensure it meets the maximum performance, safety, and fuel efficiency parameters that will best benefit the vehicle.
